Phate from what I understand melatonin only helps if you are deficient in it. is this true?

i've never heard that, but to chicmagnet, taking 25mg ed is actually counter productive, in a study it was shown that 0.5mg was actually more effective than 20mg because the higher dose spilled over into the wrong side of the melatonin phase-response curve

so cut back to 5mg/day and see how that works for you

yes thats what I take, I have it prescribed for anxiety but when I really need some sleep I take 1.5mgs and that usually does the trick
