who here suffers from allergies?
What do you guys take for your allergies? This summer has been the worst for me. My allergies pretty much just randomly kick in any time of the day. I have no idea what I'm allergic to. Today I've been sneezing, nose running, and eyes have been watering since 10:00 this morning!!! It's slowed down to the point I can train finally. This shit is making me ****ing miserable!!!
I took some motrin (non drowsy) sinus and allergy medicine, but it hasn't done much. I can't take benadryl, it makes me fee like I'm hung over without the fun from the night before. I've got some other stuff, can't remember what it's called, but it's a Hy-Vee brand. This stuff works ok, but it knocks me out and leaves me being unproductive.
Does anybody have any advice on what to take?

I've tried claritin, but it really didn't seem to work well either. Where did you hear it takes weeks to kick in?

You should look into allergy shots they've helped me alot for the few months ive been on them. Basically you get a shot every week, they make you go in for the first few months but after that you can do them yourself.
I was pretty screwed up so I had to get sinus surgery as well.
Honestly claritin and those types of medicines barely did anything for me although I did feel a little bit better, but nothing like the relief of surgery/allergy shots

I got allergy shots for 18 years..I stopped them about 5 years ago, but my allergies still flare up every once in a while and Allegra is by far the best allergy medicine Ive ever used. Go see a doc and get him to write a prescription for ya. Your allergy problems will go away in no time

I just take a generic antihistamine, it does the job most days for me, minus the few days where the air is full of pollen etc. I thought about allergy shots for a while but never bothered. Once the canadian winters hit, i have nothing to worry about, other than freezing to death

I got an appointment with the doc on august 20th. The shitty deal is I can't taking anything except regular sudafed until then. I hope this shit works.

This is kinda strange. Yesterday my allergies were REALLy acting up. My nose and eyes were running constantly, and I was sneezing literally 10-15 times in row like every half hour. I took some sudafed, didn't do shit like I figured it wouldn't. So to stop my nose from running I just stuck a couple pieces of paper towel in my nose. My eyes cleared up, and I stopped sneezing. But the second I take the paper towels out, my eyes IMMEDIATELY start watering, and I begin sneezing again. So it must be something in the air that's bothering me.
But today, I'm fine. WTF?

I take generic loratidine. I am not sure which brand that is. It's just something that was priced well. It works just as well as any of the other ones.
I tried cyproheptidine too. I ordered it from Canada. It works better then anything I have tried. It clears up everything 100%. The draw back is it makes me to tired to do anything. So I can't really take it.
I had allergy shots for years when I was a kid too.
