The lake my country house is on has mostly bass.
Got no recent pics of fishin (I should resally bring my camera!), so here is an oldie when the kid was 10... he caght a nice big one
Ahhh friday I go back up to the country house... can't wait!!!! I wanna fish!

I'm heading up to lake nipissing here in ontario to do some musky fishing later in the month. Lots of walleye, perch, smallmouth/largemouth bass and pike there as well.

red.....the vents are closed on one end and open on the other, the cat fish thinks its a log....they go inside to make a nest, they can swim in and out as they want, but once they lay there eggs they say in it. the opened end is tie off to a stump. you just pull up on the rope, the cat doesnt try to get out, they want to protect the nest. so really its not a trap and you dont need a traping license. if you notice my traps are old and rusty....they like that. for big cats you can use barrels, but me, i like the cats in the 2 to 15lb range for best eating.

I love me some fishin. A whole day at the lake is better then a half day at work any time of the year.

i got different sizes, i use 24 and 12 inch black drain pipe for the larger ones, but mostly i use 6 inch a/c duct vents. what i like about this type trap is that you can leave them in the water without checking them often, he cats dont die like in a slat trap or hoop net or even trot lines.

Fly fishing I never really got into (well, never really tried seriously), but it looks like quite an art.
