He holds the records for a few different lifts, so he is the strongest man with an asterisk*

Phil Phister won the last World's Strongest Man contest but after the split between TWI (the company that produces the World's Strongest Man competition), and IFSA (the only other official sanctioning body of the sport of strongman), the title of World's Strongest Man has been open to debate. As a matter of fact that title has always been contentious. Currently the strongest in the sport of strongman is 3 time world champion Zydrunas Savickas of Lithuania. Mark Henry, if he competed would definately give any strongman or powerlifter a run for their money. The current Olympic Lifting champion is Hussein Rezzadeh and many consider him the strongest man in the world, and then there's the top powerlifter in the world, Andy Bolton who recently deadlifted 1003lbs. Some also consider him the strongest man in the world. The problem is there has never been a contest in which all these men has attended. The closest has been the Arnold, which Henry won in 02 but has been dominated by Savickas for the last 3 years.

Back about 10 years ago Mark and I worked with the same trainer in Texas. That is one strong mofo. I saw him lift huge amounts of weight like it was nothing.

not mine, many stronger people out there than miller, strongest man on the planet by far is from england, andy bolton. 1003 dealift, 1213 squat, almost 700lb press, 2804 total, highest total and highest deadlift ever in the history of recorded time.

also on a side note, henry maybe the worlds strongest drug free man, he competed in the ADFPA powerlifting fed, a fed that strictly drug tests there top lifters. off the top of my head he squatted 900,pressed close to 600 and deadlifted 903 and all his lifts were RAW. at thie time anthony clark was the strongest powerlifter on the planet and used the equipment as well as a boat load of aas. henry challenged clark to compete against him in a drug tested contest to see who the "strongest man" was. clark passed and told henry that if he wanted to be know as the worlds strongest man, that he could have the un-official alleged title because it didnt matter to him.

^^^ i should say supposed natural. rember that there is always a way to get by any drug test. i myself do believe he was natural, henry quit powerlifting and went on to try to olympic lift and did OK considering he got such a late start in life and that all other olympic lifters start to train at a very very young age. he was the USA's top guy a few years ago, that isnt saying much since the usa hasnt had a good olympic lifter since i can remember. bulgaria, china ,the soviets, ukraine, some guy form iran and Dimas from greece have dominated this sport.

    I just know Henry is a beast. He's like 400+ pounds(or was), has 24" biceps, a 24" neck, 48" waist, and a 64" chest.
