It isn't the spotters fault, kid has lil bitch legs he shouldn't have been doing 200kg in the first place.

size does not determine strength and if you never fail you must not be training hard enough

I won't squat heavy without the safety bars in place. I hate the train tracks squat racks that only let you go str8 up and down. Squating isn't one of those things I feel anyone can save you if you are going down. I bet the back of that kid's dome hurts and he is lucky if he didn't hurt his neck muscles.

No size doesn't always determine strength. I have failed when training, but I also know my limitations. If I can only bench lets say 250lbs or squat only 300lbs a certain amount of times 2-3 reps and I need a spotter than thats my limit. I am not going to try and be a tough guy and try to bench 350lbs or squat 500lbs where my spotter isn't going to be much help.

What a joke that kid should be doing 200 pounds less in the first place.

That vid and the other one neather one of tham had any muscle tone deff or build. Looks as if it was there first day in the weight room.

that first video, i don't know where the hell the spotter was- whether that guy should have been doing that amount of weight or not is beside the point, he definately should have gotten more help than that, i'd beat my friends ass if that happened to me.....the second video it looks like where the kid starts to get weak he begins to lose his form.... looked like he had a lot of stress on his back....Ouch for both......

i think that kid came pretty close..and with a good spotter there wasnt any real danger there...
btw, thats how powerlifting comps are..ive never been to one that used safety bars for squats..and i think its the stupidest ****ing thing in the world...absolutely no reason to not have safety bars there..especially when everyone squatting at any meet is going for a 1rm (obviously)..
that spotter is an idiot and didnt know what the **** he was doing...the dude practically grabs the kids waist?!?!?! what the **** are you going to accomplish pulling a guy up by his hips --the very place your body bends, and in this case, folds--when he is tipping forward...if the spotter would have applied the same pressure upwards(duh) under his arms that kid would have been back where he started and racking the weight.
the only thing the spotters grip on that kid might be good for is ****ing someone from behind, which is pretty much exactly what he accomplished here.

it looked like he almost had it, so i would guess that he has worked up to a weight pretty close to the one he was attempting

and in my training there is no such thing as limitations

only small plateaus where i must bring up certain weak points to move past

the mind is a powerful thing but only if you know that there is no limitations to what you can do

I am with GXXSR as well. He has no ****ing business attempting that and could have ****ed himself up for life.

I will never understand the meathead attitude most guys have.

how is missing a lift "meathead attitude"?

he is wearing knee wraps and what looks to be squat briefs
so my guess is that he is a powerlifter

Oh please don't start that there is no limitations to what you can do because your mind is powerful. If that were the case I would be lifting any weight I saw fit. The world is defined by certain things. It takes this much power to move this much weight. You don't have the power you don't move the weight! It is that simple!! How did he look like he almost have it?? Because he was able to move 2 inches up before dropping the weight?

Personally, I thought he reached failure way to early if that was his first attempt and first real heavy lift. The spotter may have been in a ****ed up spot but how much help do you normally need most of the time? A few pounds of pressure to help you get the weight up. Seemed retarded to me... and I'm sorry but 200kg is a LOT for that dude... I don't give a shit about size vs str, if you look like shit or aren't even remotely "big" looking then 200kg seems out of the ballpark you're playing in.

that kid was real close, he is a powerlifter, his from was right on, he just got stuck, the spoter was at fault. skinny legs dont mater, he isnt squating for size, he is squatin for strength, and the kid is very strong for his size

anyone else notice the sucky form the spotter had?

your spose to support at the armpits, not on the ****ing belt,

if the spotter had been spotting at the armpits, he probably wouldnt have failed forward liek that.

I say that was the spotters fault... I have pushed myself plenty of times but I've yet to fail on a single lift even on a 1RM. I've had a few close calls with squats but my old legs havn't failed me yet
