    When you say Greenhouse gas you are reffering to CO2 right?

    I have to totally disagree with you. The equator is a point on the earth where the sun's distance is the closest throughout the year. To get the proper data one would need temperature measurements all over the earth (including the equator) to assess overall temperature variances. No scientific study looks at one point to know what's happening as a whole. And studies have shown that greenhouse gases don't sit over the equator...for the most part because of the global winds, the most damage has been recorded over the poles - N/S.
