You mean points. 300 wasn't deep enough to be an RPG. More like an action/side-scroller... Did you see the "making of"? I almost thought I heard that music from Mario Brothers while watching it.

well I thought that 300 was suppose to be like a reprentation or had something to do with a comic thing. Thats why they were able to do the animal thing. I enjoyed 300 a lot.

My list. However this is a very close one. I liked them all quite a lot.
    Gladiator
    Troy
    300

Like goodcents said, 300 was an exaggeratiton of reality. It was mythology. The story of the battle is being told by that soldier, who lost his eye, to the roman army before they fight the persian army. That's why he's narrating through out the movie.

I thought it was unrealistic too when I saw the giant elephents and that fat guy with sword hands. Then at the end you see that guy telling the story to hype up the roman soldiers. Then it made sense to me.

They were Greeks, this was before the Roman empire. It was based off of a comic book so of course it would be unrealistic and I went to the movie expecting some crazy story. Still, it was REALLY unrealistic.

*sigh* it's based off a graphic novel aka comic book.

ya I meen Frank Miller kept the idea and story overall intact but he did what he wanted with the characters because it was a comic book.

If you like the premise of 300 but want a story line. I HIGHLY reccomend reading the book "Gates of Fire" which is a fictional account of the Battle at Thermopylae but it is fvcking bad ass!!!!

George Clooney bought the rights to the movie a long time ago but nothing has been done since. It would be FAR superior to 300 by a long shot.

If you were disapointed with 300 then perhaps you'd like the Mexican 300...

I was disapponted too I was looking for another gladiator so after during a little research i found out the director was a comic book guy and he was trying to capture the the mythical points of the characters. such as the immortals. they werent immortal there were just so many of them the for evry one killed three took it place. so try to watch it from that angle

plus the whole idea behind 300 is that it is the sole survivor's story. he told it to rally all the soldiers to defeat the persians. its his account, so he made it amazing so he could rally the 40,000 people.

300 was OK, nothing special though... I remember everyone on here raving about it when it was first in theaters and I was looking forward to renting it when it came out on DVD, but I wasn't really impressed at all when I did see it.

have to agree, i thought 300 was an ok effort, wouldnt watch it again though. havent seen troy, so cannot comment. However, gladiator, braveheart and saving private ryan (eh?) are the greatest war/battle films ever made
