based on the pics...I dont see how victor wont win this....other than politics. his conditioning is far superior to Jays right now even though he isnt quite a big as jay, condition,IMO, should take precendence over a bit more size.

I agree with you that Vic should win but this sport is all about politics, Jay should have won in 2001, Gunter should have won in 2002, I still can't understand why Levrone or Flex couldn't take a show in their prime. I would not be surprised at all if Jay wins again because thats the way it works. In the last 22 years of the Mr.Olympia contest there have only been 4 different winners. In a perfect world any contender should have the same odds of winning as Jay or Ronnie or Vic if they came in well conditioned and ready for the show but I promise that Rockel, Wolf, JOJ, Dexter, Melvin and Gustavo have no chance at winning the Mr.Olympia title this year or in some years to come because after Jay, Vic is going to be the new man to beat. It's all politics, when I talk to my buddy who has competed in this show many times he says the same thing and says you would be amazed of all the favors some guys do for the judges and other crap that goes on.

For Ronnie it's a done deal. He did not look good last night but you have to respect the man for all of the years that he did.

Ronnie had a good run, tons of props out to him....man i felt bad for him last night.....but i still remember this guy well......

Man those first 2 pics, from 2003 Mr. O, Ron really was looking unbelievable, his size, hardness, and definition really were out of this world. Even Jay remarked about Ron in 2003 in an interview after winning last year. His Tricep seemed to deteriorate the next year and hasn't recovered since and then the last couple of years his infamous back is lost as well. You know what I find the strangest, is in the callouts from this year, Ron is actually dwarfed by both Victor and Jay, its not just his condition thats worse, he is actually less muscular than them, which is something I never thought id see.

To me Victor looks the best and I really hope he wins, because hopefully it would start a new era for bodybuilding, with Jay and Ron out of the equation, perhaps a more aesthetic standard will be the aim. I still like Dexter and Melvin the most, dexter always turns up razor sharp and well proportioned and Melvin has the most incredible shape around, hes very much in the Haney mould and I still think Haney at 248 from 1991 was the best physique on the Olympia stage ever.
