Whats more reliable Motorcycle or car?
Lets say you had $2000 to spend on a vehicle which is more reliable a $2000 car or motorcycle? Let's say you could ride the motorcycle year round.

It's hard to say which would be more reliable, as so many factors could come in to play. I love my bikes, but I would have to say a car would be more practical.

I ride my bike year round but we have a car in case we need to go shopping or something... this is speaking to racticality and not reliability.
As for reliability I'd say the bike would be (as long as it were well maintained) as they start off cheaper and then lose value rapidly allowing for a much newer, lower milage bike for $2k than for a car.. in general.

rain hurts like a bastard, your face sheild fogs up so you open it, then it's like getting shot in the face with a bb gun on the highway, I hate when the drops hit my eyeball.

I have fogged up every helmet I've owned (RX-7 and X-11) and I have yet to fog up my Scorpion.. I sold all my helmets and use Scorpion exclusively now.. fits better (for my head shape) and NEVER fogs.

I say get a decent toyota truck or car, even though I ride my gixxer as much as I can, even in the rain. It's always nice to have a car or truck to be able to stay warm and carry stuff. IMO with 2,000 it might be hard to find a good used street bike without it being turned into a track beater bike. But there might be a decent one out there. I'd stick with a automobile

I believe a motorcycle should be a toy. Not a form a transport. U should just wait a little while longer and save up more money to buy a nicer car. Since your on a budget I would be asking every old lady or women etc that rarely drives and if she does only in town. This way you can get a car with a lot of years on it while not having very many miles on it.

I ride at willowsprings, buttonwillow, pahrump, and california speedway at mid-fast A-group pace.. I have crashed several times and feel plenty qualified in making these statements... I'd have to assume running 140mph+ around the big track is a little more dangerous than racing a pocket bike IMNsho.
