Just what the title says. I've been a TKE for awhile, and I have to say it's one of the best decisions I've ever made.

Oh, and let's keep this thread fairly mature. None of the **** you frat boys comments. Honestly, I haven't met a frat boy that wasn't cool and down to earth. So post away guys!

shit man.....and are'nt the rules that once you are part of a frat, you can never join a different one?

that happened to an old buddy of mine....he transferred schools, and since his old frat was not present at the new school, he was shit out of luck

Thats right... but I wouldn't join another one anyway. School is too hectic, and it would take time out of lifting. Plus most of the fraternaties here are toolboxes that just join so they can say they're in a frat. I joined because it was bad ass and we

the campus. Sucks that it got shut down, but I'm kind of glad it did because my grades, and my lifting and eating habits wouldn't be as good as they are now if it was still going on.

i know fraternities have a reputation for being jackasses, and i know plenty of kids who are jackasses that are in fraterntiy.....but i also know jackasses who are not in frats,

and i know some good guys who are in frats

it never would have worked out for me.....classes is just way to hectic, and i gotta fit liftin gand eating in there

my best friend was the pres of the pike house in gainesville.... but even he quit because frats were gay.....

He was the President of the Pike House at UofF and he quit becuase it was gay?!?! I calling BULL on that...

He might've quit becuase HE was gay...but that house is pretty nice and has PLENTLY of tail running around it. Yes...I am PIKE alum.

I know the secret handshake, although I'm not in tke. Got my ass kicked for using it to get into a party for free at a different college. I said I was a pledge, the dude at the door was like "pledges arn't supposto know the secret handshake." I was like "oh fudge."

oh well... that chapter has alot of problems with it .... (date rape, steroid , hazing ex....) so they have been kicked off campus and now are no longer a active frat...

I was in a gang as a troubled youth. No college for me. I did some time in Juvey though. Sure glad I got my life together!

You dudes who went/go to college don’t know how lucky you are. I would have loved to have had the chance to experience it. I think that is why I am so bitter towards those preppy college boys who talk and act "gangsta yo!” It makes the vein in my neck throb.

I'm sorry to hear that man. You can always go to college later on in life. We've got a 26 year old pledge, no kidding at all man. I knew a 80 something year old man, working on his 3rd or 4th degree. You can always go back, and get a degree.

Not sure who said they were a Pike in Gainseville. But what do you know about the ellephant walk? Had a buddy who was pledging there and when they tried to get him to do it he left. That was back in 99'
