you guys ever get skipped heart beats?
I had a really really strong one doing cardio today.......as far as caffeine, like i do every time, brew about 12 cups of tea with 8 green tea bags, let that sit over night, and take 2 and a half cups pre cardio, at moderate to low intensity
I was just finishing up, i had 5 minutes left, and i felt like i got all the air sucked out of me ya know....pretty big skipped heart beat.....than right afterwards, i had some irregular hear beats....ya know, where you feel your heart beat and it kind of feels abnormal, and like its not pumping blood at all, maybe like a flutter, not sure if thats what its called.....had maybe 2 or 3 of those.....I immediately stopped cardio, took some deep breaths, told myself the heart muscle is not at all perfect, and palpatations are very normal and happen from time to time...and can also be stimulent and exercsise induced, and in no way is an indication of a problem...
I can honestly say, i havent had one like this in 2 years, same thing happened, but just alot less intense, once during cardio a couple years ago...
walked it off, felt fine, but damn, it shook me up a little...
well, just needed to vent, and wonder if anyone else has had theseLast edited by IronReload04; 11-09-2007 at 02:41 PM.

I hate them. Ever since my damn heart surgery I get some nice anginas (not vaginas u pervs). Not only that I can feel my chest literally flutter from the strange way my heart will beat. Good thing the surgery was for and ASD which never closed up naturally and not something serious -.-

If your heart was not pumping blood, that would mean that the heart is not resting long enough for diastole to occur. Basically its going so fast the chamber isn't pausing long enough for it to fill with blood. I doubt thats what happened though, as you'd probably be dead, lol....Just chalk it up to the stimulants, stop taking them, and if it ever happens again make a dr appt.

I have no idea if I have had one. But I get this weird feeling sometimes like I am having a heart attack, but nothing happens, not sure what to think of it.

I've had those since I was 16.
They are common. Sometimes things can aggravate them, like Caffeine (energy drinks), chocolate, hardcore cardio without enough water, etc.

This has been happening a lot to me recently as well, I think it's the caffeine for sure because I never had it before supplementing with it. I've stopped taking the energy drinks because it's really been freaking me out like I will be watching tv and i feel my heart sink and skip a beat or two and it's scary.
