How much would you lose?
Well Ive decided that I want to get the tummy tuck (a**ominoplasty) along with lipo done in late Feb-early March. The surgery is about 3 hours, and ill be out of the hospital the same day. The doctor said that I could be back at work in about a week, but ill say 2 weeks just to be sure but Im not sure how long ill be out of the gym for and to be honest thats my biggest concern! Im so scared that Im going to lose everything Ive gained/lost over the past couple years. Does anyone know how long it will take to lose muscle? Will I lose a lot of muscle? Ill still be sticking to a very clean diet but I dont know how I would set up my diet - still got time, although ill be immobile or very limited mobility for atleast 2 weeks. Who knows how long till I can lift though (and thats scary!).
any comments, opinions are appreciated bros!

if your out two weeks you will loss little to no muscle. Like you said just keep the clean diet and you will be fine.

In fact I read a research article that said it takes almost 4 weeks for your muscle to fully repair themselves anyway.... so if you hit the gym hard the week before your surgery you should be fine... just eat clean and a slight surplus of calories....Like Gsxxr suggested...

ill be out for longer than 2 weeks...thats just to get back to work. Ill probably be out for 4-6 weeks...but atleast i wont have any excess skin and when I hit the gym after a while along with a cutting diet ill have a 6 pack!!!
BTW I am on cycle right now 750mg of Test E/wk and winnie at 75mg ED for the last 6-8 weeks. Im basically going to run this cycle through for about 12-14 weeks and then do PCT for a month and get this surgery. Like I said my major concern is losing muscle during this recovery period.
Would taking BCAA, glutamine throughout the day help at all?

Duno if this would be a stupid idea, however you might wana push beyond the verge of overtraining that way your muscles would need that time to recover anyways. Or it might in fact do more harm than good and make it harder to recover from the surgery, who knows...

I dont know if this is a bad idea but doesnt gh help with speeding up the healing process and it would keep you anabolic at the same time to maybe not lose as much muscle.

Why do you want to have surgery? Hell you could die or be fuked up, just work out?

BCA's will help. honestly, you won't lose anything. don't stress yourself out about it, cortisol is nasty. just eat hearty, and prepare your comeback. i've taken a 2 month break and been nearly as strong without any weightloss at the end of my break.

Let me know how it goes and what it ends up costing you. I've thought about it too for my loose skin problem.

hey sonny...i actually went for a consult, met a great doctor in my area who does excellent work.
The doctors fee is a flat rate of $6,000 plus $2,800 for anesthesiologist and operating room fees. So total is almost $9,000

so i decided to run my cycle for 10 weeks instead of 14 so that I can get the surgery done a month earlier which will allow me more recovery time so that I can still cut for the summer and be able to run another cycle for the summer. I think this is the best idea that way i dont feel the need to rush back to the gym to get ready for summer.
any input on this matter is greatly appreciated
