oh then their rules might be different. Contact the backround people there and just ask what there rules are tell them what you have done and they will say they can work with it or not. Just dont tell them who you are.

you can always say you took the "Roid Store" type stuff. etc. and see if that flies if you fail that portion of the poly.

The questions they ask on the poly are different in different areas. My brother is a cop here where I live, and they don't ask about steroids at all on the poly, but they do ask have you ever knowingly broken the law, and if you say yes or say no and fail they will ask you to elaborate after the test.

I would think that if you wanted to go SWAT then you would need some sort of Elite Military experince. For example, Marine- Recon, Army- Special Forces, Navy-SEALS. I don't know about the Seals or Recon but SF is a pretty long processe plus SERE school is a b!tch...from what I have heard.

Here in Texas, sheriff is an elected position. We've got 254 of them, one for each county. What ya do is start off as a rural sheriff's deputy (dunno what tests they do on you there), then run for rural sheriff, then work your way up to sheriff in bigger and better counties.
Can't hurt to try, anyway . . .

In Canada they ask about using steroids and I have friends that have been honest and been accepted and friends that have been honest and bee declined. The only consistent thing is that if you lie, you are out.
