new leather weight belt question
I got my new cardillo leather weight belt today. This is the first leather belt I have had, is there any type of break in that it needs, it seems super stiff. Also will it stretch at all, I wear size 34 or 36 pants, and this belt says for size 34-38 but damn I can only get it to the third buckle hole, theres still 6 more holes to go. It will never fit me when Im bulking.

i'm no leather expert but i would imagine it will get broken in with use. kind of like a baseball glove.

i am a little worried now. On the actual cardillo website that I bought the belt from they say that a medium fits a 34-38in waste. But on other websites that have the same belt they say a medium is 32-34 in waste. WTF the belt dose seem small

I use shaving cream to break in my gloves... breaks it down, I would think it would work for the belt.

mink oil works great to condition and soften leather. for cleaning saddle soap works well also

yeah I have gallons of mink oil captain I grew up working on one of the largest mink farms in the us. I think that to be safe I am going to return the belt for the next size up.
