Pissed Off

What would you do? My friend calls me up and says cancel everything come to Miami wed-sunday. His company is paying for hotel, airfare, rental, etc. So I book my flight, make arrangements for the dogs, tuck the girl in, canceled my plans for the week, pay for a service to pick me up in the morning, and then he calls like 30 min ago and says the meeting was canceled and he is not going to go. My flight is at 7 am. I have friends down there, but thought he should have just came anyway. He said he has sick days, he makes good money, but he is so dam cheap to pay for it by himself, so he just leaves me hanging. I am going solo, and will make the best of it!!! But what do you say to a good friend that does that to you?????

I had the same thing happen to me Except I was going to nyc to party for a week on the island with my buddy then go to a wedding at the end of the trip. I bought my ticket and he cancelled on me. Assbag. I went to nyc myself for a week, ALONE.

Well, my freind and I didnt talk for some time after that and we havent been close since. But Ill tell you right now, that trip was one of the best fvcking weeks of my life.

I paid for my flight, someone to walk my dogs, ride to the airport, ride home from airport, plus I canceled work related stuff for this trip. I understand his meeting got canceled, but suck it up and buy a plane ticket, and take a sick day or two. I'm going anyway, I have a place to stay so the hotel issue is not a big deal..I just would never leave anyone hanging like that.

I dunno man..looks like what happened was outta his control.

Maybe he doesn't have the money to pay for all of that right now outta his own pocket..

I would understand that if that was the case, but he was calling me from Nobu in NYC which will set you back 3 bills easily at that restraunt. I think he might be ***** whipped by his girl or something, cause its not like him to do this.

Thats probably it. I know ive been in his shoes b4 and it sucks so i grabbed my balls and told her to go pound sand

Seriously tho, he probably is whipped and thats why he didnt go....i dont really know any sane man that could afford it, take a couple sick days AFTER telling your bud to book everything and then just not going unless there is an obstacle.......girlfriend.

My best friend is now ***** whipped and I'm lucky to hang with him once every 2 months now.

^most I spent was like $150 one time with the ex and seemed a waste of money

she had this nasty ass crab stuffed with some black shlt (caviar, truffles?) I took one bite and spit it out on the towel

I had the frog legs, love those things

even use to gig them when I was younger.

yeah, he's probably stuck up some chicks ass.. I'd never leave a buddy like that if I instigated the spending and was able to pay for my own trip.. it's be ON!! I'd SOO go on my own dime!! I LOVE travel an partying!!

on a side note.. why so many cheap bastards.. most I;ve spent so far on 1 meal for 2 people was ~$600 with the (new) wife. She's spoiled but I love her to death and she's a good girl and great to me.. plus; she gives me my shots!!!!

food is something she learned to like really quickly with me.. she thought she liked food before and the nI showed her some great food and it's been a downhill slide ever since.. more and more expensive or hole in the wall places (I like both) with the greatest food around!!
