Connect your Sirius radio directly to your car radio via the antenna jack. Compatible with all Sirius brand Plug & Play and personal radios. Includes the plugs and wires required for most installations. The direct connection eliminates the need to find an unused FM station and provides better performance. It directly connects the "FM Out" signal from the satellite radio receiver unit's internal FM modulator to your car head unit's FM antenna connection. An internal relay switches between Sirius operation when your receiver is powered "on" and AM/FM operation when your receiver is powered off, so you can still listen to your AM & FM stations.

its really easy. it will take you a couple mins and a few more to hide the wires if you want...i my self would get sirius if you havent alreadt bought the XM . i have sirius and love it...i have a friend that had xm and i let him borrow mine for a couple weeks and he ended up switching....there both the same for setting up. plug the power in, set the antenna on the roof and connect the FM antenna in (the short little wire) then set the radio and your good to go

I built XM radio so I'm a bitpartial but my understanding of the systems is that XM has better infrastructure and more repeaters in the larger cities than does Sirius. Unless you have to have Stern, I recommend XM.
AAs for install, I used to be a car stereo instlaler in another life, long ago and it's simple. as mentioned, you could just jack in through an aux port if so epuipped. ELse, you'll need power, ground and signal. Signal usually comes in the form of an FM which modulator attaches to the antennae wire that goes int the back of the radio.. and you're done.. just mount it and rock out. I recommed getting it all wired up now and just stuff the wires under the dash where she won't likely check and then all you gotta do is mount it and plug it in on Xmas.
This is how I recommend giving alarms and remote starts as well. get it all installed but do not set up auto-arming andthen just give the remotes as a gift and it's all set up.

I currently have XM and I paid for a year. As soon as it's over I'm switching to Sirius...

I know ill get flames but XM has better ol school rap like the good stuff, wu tang/EPMD/redman/Big L etc. also they have some really good techno channels with trance/house etc. sirius has that cheesy backspin rap station with like salt n ppa and rob base, whatever you would think a drunk college girl would end up woot wooting and dancing her fat ass too with her girls when it plays.
BUT, I bought her a sirius anyways lol
