The Fight to Ban Steroids.. My Rant!
So, the more I read about the government trying to use its scissor to cut our ties to Steroid Supplys and prosecute anyone possesing, using, or making really pisses me off..
Heres my rant, I feel like if they want to not allow steroids in professional sports or direct media attention on this.. Professional sports would never be the same again..
As for typical home users (like me) its really pisses me off.. Whats to gain from keeping me from using steroids?? Health issues, ok.. Lets make it so that if there are any conditions that I induce myself to by using gear insurance wont cover.. Besides that.. whats the harm?? Why cant I stick needles in my butt and get as big as I want??
F*ucking Government...

frustrating thing is that there really is probably no legitimate answer that they have for this question. the reason the war on steroids has taken over other drug wars is bc the steroid infrastructure is probably the easiest to infiltrate. i can imagine that it is much harder for law enforcement to curtail certain recreational drugs because they have much more complex systems and much more capital behind them. the dea, fbi, police have figured out that the steroid ring is the easiest to bust right now and it sure does make them look good. and because it makes them look good they now are going to continue to receive our taxes to maintain their meaningless cause.

It just seems more logical for the goverment to make it legal, earn the profit from it via taxes and shut the F*ck Up! lol

The reason the politicians are going after steroids is because it is an EASY issue to get behind. What politician is going to come out publicly AGAINST steroid laws and crackdowns? Its like taking a stand against terrorism; it makes you look good and it is a no lose situation. The people in governent have no balls to come out and take a stand on the REAL issues facing this country like corporate fraud, exporting our economy overseas, false info that lead us to war etc etc.
And as long as the general public remains ignorant in regards to anabolic steroids ( responsible use vs abuse, "roid rage " and other steroid myths) they will continue to hail the politicians as good guys for taking on "the rampant scurge of steroids in this country".
With all the Mitchell Report hype, its only going to get worse. So start stocking up while you can.

So.. I guess our only hope in politicians is Arnold Schwartenager.. haha

Wrong.
That guy took the biggest 180 ever. Back in his prime during the 60s and 70s, he was such a rebellious hippy liberal-minded back then. Now he is a neo-conservative protecting family values and social morals (not that those two things are a bad thing), and has gone completely anti steroid to boot. He has sold out, just like 95% of all the other politicians.

Your argument makes if steroid usage was unique to you. However, the harm is a lot of adolescents are impressionable and will want to do the same thing without considering adverse health effects. I'm not against you just stating the other side of the argument. And for the person who said Arnold was a "sell-out", what else could he do? He obviously cannot endorse steroids being in the position that he is.

I think some of us are missing a more important aspect. The media attention and the hype about steroids and sports has made the public more aware of steroids and it's side effects.
HOWEVER, and I mean a HUGE HOWEVER, it mis-guides our youth into thinking that if it will enhance my ability to gain size and thus play a better game, if you will, then I will do anything to obtain it.
My point being the following...
media exposure = more useage
more useage = more mis-useage
more mis-useage = more deaths
So in essence, the media, the general public, most doctors, and of course, those who are in charge enforcing the laws, are providing free advertising for our YOUTH.
We really, really need to have a panel of very educated individuals who would be willing to stand up and say...no SHOUT...there are far worse things going on in this country than recreational AAS useage. I mean, really, the NPC Competition, the Arnold Show in Columbus, and Mr. O...why aren't they busted?
Drinking and Driving....I understand
Smoking and Second hand smoke...I understand
Recreational useage of AAS for the improvement of health under the direction of a physican...I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY we can't make a compromise and say 'look, let's keep our youth and our adults safe by lowering the laws, letting the doctors prescribe, make us pay high prices for pharmacy grade gear and lower the risk of some kid or adult killing themselves by getting a nasty infection or whatever by trying to experiment making steroids at home in their bathtub!
The media hype and the governmental restrictions and subsequent busts have only made things worse...and they don't realize it. As long as the busts continues, the more experimenting will be going on and only increases the risks and dangers to our YOUTH...and adults.
Oh, and not to mention all of the Katrina victims who are still living in camper trailers b/c the insurance companies screwed those people over. Can't we focus on things that matter?
How about paying our teachers more money than pro athletes?
How about addressing the obesity in our youth today?
How about banning cancer causing agents...cigarettes?
How about....I can go on forever!Last edited by Indymuscleguy; 12-19-2007 at 06:36 PM. Reason: another important fact
