^^Me too, at least it wasn't a typical ending like you think it would be. I thought it was done very well.

this movie was great, you gotta give em props for not making a monster movie like any other movie, it was original, so we give it props for that, the characters were not very in depth, however, they had good personalities, and they acted like real people for the most part, not idiots, they did what they had to and never made any really really dumb moves...a lot of intense scenes and a lot of comic relief thrown in...the monster was not dumb either, good movie...kinda made me sad really..

I've had a seriously good dose of films over the weekend.

Transformers yesterday (AWESOME) and Cloverfield tonight.

I think it's definitely a film best seen at the cinema, as the chaos of New York just seems better on the big screen.
Loved the film, thought it was very atmospheric and really gave you a sense of being there. The fact there is no "we don't know what it is but we think we know what it wants blahblahblah" bullshit origin like you get in other monster films was even better, though i'd like to know a lil more in possible sequals. Apparantly there's a bit right at the end, that I didn't see, but when they're talking about having a great day on the Big Wheel, you see something in the background fall into the ocean. 4/5.
