How lucky we really are!

I was reading the thread from The God Father on the Bill to do mandatory public service. I couldn't help but come across a lot of people that were all "Fvck America and Hell no" and so on.

You guys really don't know how lucky we really are to be living in this country. I used to be like the people that made those statements. I always thought that this country should go to shit and so on.

My mindset is completely changed after I got sent over here. You come to these third world country and you see how these people live. What they consider middle class we consider dirt poor. They're education is that of a 2nd graders'. The Woman has absolutely no right to say anything. They work there asses off for nothing in return.

I understand that the public service would be bad idea because like someone stated that you will not get the same quality service from someone that doesn’t want to be there. At the same time though, I don't really think it’s a bad thing because you will be getting paid for what you do. You are not volunteering therefore you will get paid.

And it would only be for one year, the majority of countries require at least 2 years in the military.

I just hope that if this does pass that they don't send any people in the military that don't want to be here.

So instead of saying Fvck America and screw this country, you guys should be greatfull that you live in a country that doesn't force you to do shit like that.

And no I am not all Patriotic, I just think that we should be greatfull for what we have.

Well yah sure, if you compare us to 3rd world countries..

Lets compare us to industrialized countries, like Canada, Japans, Western Europe, Australia etc.... that would make a lot more sense..

it would also take a lot more knowledge to properly dissect the differences between all these nations.. its not as simple as black and white, apples and oranges, USA and Iraq.
