Anyone here works at Gold's?
Thinking of taking a position as a Fitness Consultant at Gold's and I was hoping some of you all had some info on how much they make, salary + commission, hours, typical day etc.??? The salary i think is around $35-$40 grand but the way the guy was talking there is some serious income potential with the commissions. Thanks in advance.

I worked for gold years ago. How much you make depends on the market the store is in. But imo it is not a lot. I also had to work 10days 4 or 5 days a week which jacked up my training cycle. But listen to their offer and if it’s better than what you make now go for it. Ask then if you can take a break to work out during your shift. There are always new girls in there which is a big plus. But just ask them how many new members they sign each month divide that by the number of consultants that work there and you know how many people you will sign a month. Then ask hoe much you get paid on each multiply that by the number of people you will sign and add it to your pay and there is you annual.

I worked at a golds gym b4I left for the army. They fired me while i was n basic because some guy made a writen statement saying I sold him steroids n the parking lot. So when i got home i went n talk to my manager n said that was BS cause i know what i do n dont do, n i dont get involved n steroid , n just because he had a writen statment doesnt make it true, I could have a writen statment saying u sold me (rec drugs). But that does not make it true. I said i didnt give him illegal steroids, i gave him SD n at the time it was legal. But it turns out, u cant sell supps ther either. I dont have anything agains Golds gym persay, but the few n St.Louis are run by a real bitch. I was a front desk guy though so it might be a lil different4ya.

I worked at a powerhouse right after college and it sucked balls. Pay was crappy and the commission sucked. We sold tons of memberships, but the cheap ass owners f'd me out of it pretty bad. I didn't complain since I was earning it back in all the shakes, bars and gatorades I 'forgot' to ring up. Oh, and don't worry they could easily afford it.

Good point there. Been on the parents insurance for so long I didnt think of that yet (just graduated college). I'm pretty positive they do cover all that though. Found out some details, well for my area anyways, if you bust ass your coming in around $50,000, average is probably around $35-40 though. There are some lazy asses that dont do anything that are making around $25,000. Not a bad deal for right out of school, we'll see. Gotta get your own clients though which is where the stress comes in I'm sure.
