Just got laid off
Well, I just got my 60 day notice from my corporate job. First time I've ever been laid off and the longest job I've ever had (8 yrs).
If anyone neds a guy with 10 years Aerospace industry, explosives, and project management experience with a BA, AA and certificates.. in SoCal or otehr places as I'm open to relocation.. drop me a line
And, no, I'm not really expecting to get a job through the steroid forum but the mojitoS I just "laid off" at lunch are getting the better of me right now

Sorry to hear of your loss bro. Stay strong, with that type of experience you will definitely find another job. I live in Torrance and there is a few companies here that would love someone with your knowledge and experience. In the long term this will only make you a stronger person, sounds corny but it is true.

Sorry to hear that . . . Unfortunately, most everyone gets laid off sooner or later.
Here's a list of defense contractors -- drop 'em a resume, see what happens:

yeah; I have several options going right now.. lead on a job with neighboring major aerospace corp.. though I don't really wanna stay in aerospace unless it's the right job. As mentioned, I'm using this as the pivot point to get into what I want to be doing.
I have seen this coming for some time and have it all accounted for but it was still a little bit of a shock to hear the words. I will be fine and if the stars are aligned, I'll be considerably better off than I am now so we'll see how things pan out. I'm the type that can't be kept down.. I have FAAAAR too much drive and determination to fail.. even for a moment.. failure is not an option but temporary setbacks are unavoidable.

you have the perfect mentality Sphincter. I've been laid off at my work and sometimes it was really painful but at the end it was better for me because I left that comfort zone and landed a better job both times.
