talk to the man politely.
if he still refuses and is a jerk, get the local authorities/dog catcher involved.
Afterall, this is all happening on your property, a dog without a leash, etc..
either he would have to comply, or bye bye to his bitch....lolLast edited by xlxBigSexyxlx; 04-17-2008 at 09:21 PM.

When I read the name of your thread I remembered my own story of when I about punched out my neighbor. It was over a small dog and then I opened your thread and read your incident. I had almost the same experience.
Oh my god I hate that SOB. He is so stupid as to not know he is simply being inconsiderate. It sucks because your only recourse is to keep calling the authorities until they put it to sleep, which sucks. It is not the dogs fault its owner is a moron.
Good Luck, I know exactly how you feel.
Did you ever see throw momma from the train?

My dog liked to take dumps in the neighbors yard.
One day I get a bag full of dog crap on my doorstep and a note attached. Pick up your dog crap, this is how.
And I got a call from the dog warden wanting proof my dog is registered, she isn't, I didn't want to pay the dog tax every year.

Buy some chocolate flavoured exlax (laxatives) from the Drugstore and put them in your yard. When the little sh1t eats them it will be shittin all over his house. If it eats too much it will DIE .... good luck .... I hate neighbours with small dogs!!

go tell a Chinese Restaurant about your problem, they'll be happy to help ya
Seriously, what someone said about going and having a polite discussion w/ the knucklehead is the best way, knocking this dickweeds head off will only make things worse, but i agree sounds appealing. If he is still a prick, go through the proper channels to fix the situation, remember, your kids are watching you, they learn by what you do, not what you say (that's been a learning curve for me).
Good luck!

Make a video or take pics of the neighbor's dog on your property. That way it's not just your word against his. After you have video proof, call animal control or if the dog is a real nuisance, call the police.
Unless you're dead set on dropping the hammer on your neighbor, try to hold off on tearing off his head and sh!tting down his neck. Anyone that doesn't take care of their animals and allows them to roam loose is a real POS, and there's no use wasting your time on him.
I feel you pain on this situation. We have mastiffs and take great pains to keep ours on a leash and under our control when we're off of our property. It really burns me up when lazy SOBs don't have the courtesy to do the same with their animals.

spray the dog with the hose or something. a paintball gun might land you in jail. don't get violent with the owner either, then you'll be the aggresor.. if you really have to, call the cops. they'll make him keep it off your property, and they'll document the issue. then it's all on him

This neighbour of yours sounds like he's been there for awhile and is prolly used to getting his own way. Do you live in the States? Over in England I think you could report him to the local council for noise pollution or whatever, I don't know who or what you could report this guy to.

Laxative, eye drops in some wet dog food, paintball gun, rat poison, trapping it and shaving all of its hair off, teaching your dog to shit in his yard, letting your dog eat his dog, giving your kid an air rifle.
All of the above are viable alternatives.
If all else fails have your kids play in his yard all the time. Tell him as long as the dog is playing in yours, your kids will play in his.
