    Calling all bikers!

Obviously you usa guys get better bigger open roads than us UK guys..

But this documetary (sorry it is a program on the police) show's the roads we have and the police intervention we get.

A great insight into the fun we get and the police we have in the UK.

Thanks, I'm going to check this out.

I think you Euros get better roads because they have corners. Our roads tend to be straight unless they're around mountains.

Personally, I don't see the harm of riding a bike fast. They very rarely hurt anyone but the actual rider.

the single lane carriage ways are 60mph and dual carriageways are 70mph by the way.

unless its through a slightly built up area where it might be 30 to 40 mph.

I think most of you guys are too young to remember the Honda commercial that says.."you meet the nicest people on a Honda". Well back then that was a shot at the Harley guys, who at the time had developed a reputation as outlaw bikers and gang members, well deserved in some instances, I was part of it for some time. Nowadays things have changed a bit, its the Jap sportbike crowd that has developed a reputation for being reckless and dangerous, at least here in Miami. In many instances the police don't even bother chasing these guys who ride bikes that can exceed 200 mph. Now the Harley people have a better reputation for actually helping the community, raising money for charities, even hardcore outlaw biker clubs have joined in on giving back. We have an event here every year called The Toys in the Sun Run. Its been going on for 20 years, and for three days the security is provided by the so called hardcore clubs, at no cost.Thats just one example of the many events year round that raise money for underpriveledged children, for the homeless and for varied major illnesses.I just thought that this would be an interesting post to point out how things have kinda turned around. I never liked being categorized or have blanket statements made about me and my brothers, and in no way am i doing that towards the sportbike crowd, its usually a few bad apples that ruins it for the bunch.
