becoming personal trainer
as a lover to fitness and the with the thrill of helping others ive decided it would be a cool and fulfilling job to trainer others. i understand that many have degrees in personal fitness but id like something a lil less serious. i dont have intentions of making a career out of it but only to help me out through college. i know there are several certificates that can be earned, which are the best. and are there any online certificates that can be earned to trainer others.

I was seriously considering doing it on the side. The rates they charge at the gym ae outta control.
Gix, def come down bro... June 18th thru the 22nd. If you can I will PM you with my number and where were staying. I might bring my GSXR-1000 too , so I will let you tear it up. Just threw some NOS on it

When I was younger, I was paid $100 hour just to count for elderly women why they did their own exercises. I was basically eye candy for them.
I also was a trainer at a health club and when women would call, I would answer the phone. When they would ask for the best trainer I would describe myself, but pretend I was someone else. Ha ha.
When they came they would ask for me, not knowing they had already spoken to me. Good luck, it is actually pretty fun and gives you an excuse to work out even more or gives you less excuses not to.
Greg Ladd (sp?) has an online training program if you want to start tomorrow!

Impossiable to answear. Its a combination of marketing, sales (mostly), if your a "people person" and how well you can adapt.
as far as Certs go, Ace isnt bad. Thats what I have. Honestly a monkey could prob. pass it. NASM has taught me a lot, going for that cert next.
I think being a PT as far as part time works out great if your a student cause you can fit it around your schedule.
Good luck bro!!
