paypal sucks !

How many of you guys use paypal,ive just started using it and already i think it sucks..have anybody here had any bad experiences with them..also is there any other kind of site like paypal that i can use instead of having to use paypal

I've used it for years with no problems whatsoever. My wife buys a lot of useless crap off of ebay and I always pay with Paypal.

I've never had any probs with Paypal and i use it loads to buy goods online.

Remember they have strict user agreements.

I understand. The only problem I have had with Paypal, wasn't even Paypals problem really. I use my checking account with them, so it still takes like 7 days to clear.

Paypal is the leader in online transactions and I LOVE IT! Never had a problem in over 100 transactions. Not sure what's going on with you, but maybe you're doing something wrong.

I hate them. Someone stole my account information and started using my credit cards to purchase numerous $200 gift certificates that were mailed directly to Nigeria. By the time my credit card statements came through, they were already cashed. When I contact Paypal to close the account, they told me without my password I cannot access the account. But the person that stole my credit card info changed my password. I asked them to reset the password and email the information to the original email that was given to them when opening the account. They told me the only thing I can do is cancel my credit card and allow the new user to keep the stolen account in my name. Considering I have never given my personal information out to anyone, for example to scam email companies asking for my info, I think it was some punk that works there and does this on a small scale to many accounts. Everything started to go bad after purchasing something on ebay for more than $25K. I think this opens you up to people looking for an account to hijack.

tried to order something last friday through paypal..got an email today...Tuesday saying they returned my payment. Looking at my bank info online shows that the money was taken out. It is only $80 so i'm not stressing too bad about it....i'll give it a week to show the money got returned then...i'll raise hell

I usually just use a normal credit card (visa) but I have used pay pal many times and never had a problem.

I had a problem as a seller with paypal.

I sold an auction item, someone bought it. Paid me, money in account, done deal.

10 months later, money withdrawn from my checking account without any warning. Overdrafted my account in fact, and cost me a $35 fee on top of the money I lost. I Contacted paypal; found out the person who bought my item 10 months ago used a stolen credit card. The real credit card owner filed a chargeback, so paypal took the money back from me. 10 months later. I am out my goods and the money.

I'll never use them again to receive money again.

I've had bad experiences with Paypal too. A buyer once did a chargeback for a 200 dollar item she bought. OK, but I had very little in my paypal account at the time, and paypal took the money they needed out of my personal bank account. Well, unlucky me, they overdrew my account. I hate Paypal for allowing this to happen!
