How to Rush a new US Passport

Anyone ever had to rush a passport?

What is the best way to go about getting a new US Passport in 2-3 weeks?

yes. i had to go to the office for passports. and i also had to have tickets already purchased to rush the passport

you have to call a # i know its easy to get and you have to pay like 75$ to rush it and it comes in like 2 weeks i had to do it for mexcio...

in the uk we can go to a passport office and get the passport done the same day but it costs more

I just had my passport rushed...I am in the US and need to leave soon to go to London.

Here is what I did:
FedExKinko's for passport photo, pick up passport application from Post Office @ Mall and fill it out (Call the post office before going and see which one does passports and go there!)
Tuesday: AS SOON AS YOU GET YOUR BIRTH CERTIFICATE go to the post office and file application for expedited filing and shipping, you can pay by debit card or cash....if you do cash bring 250 just to be on the safe side...IT SHOULD NOT COST THIS

These were instructions from the gf who got one too. I just told them i need to fly on the 25th, they didnt ask for a ticket. They worked me in at the passport office, as they only take apts. at the office in town and that would put things too late. They then sent me to a commisioners office after i paid 190. I got a letter to from the commisioner that is so they will rush things. The letter and application ect. got rushed to washington.
