Subliminal messages and positive thinking
I am aquaintances of guy that competes in local natty bodybuilding shows. We were bouncing ideas back and forth and he got to telling me about subliminal messaging and how he thought it was important to his workouts. He believed it helped him over come some self defeating thoughts, push through platueas, etc.
He is supposed to be emailing me a link to download free software that will let you send yourself subliminal messages on your computer.
I am not into all that psycho, Oprah, hippy, mind crap, but this guy has a decent physique.
What do you all think? Example of a link below...

Upload it so we can all try it. I know it works for shopping. Some of the large retailers use it and seems to work. I use to work for one and from what i understand sales would be less when they turned the system off. course it can be other factors but who knows.

How about just having some confidence and good science behind your logic?

Alright *$#@ers...apparently you need to listen to the positive talk tapes.
He is a natty BB...so I think he's straight on the diet and science. HE was talking to me about how it help eliminate the little self defeat talk that we sometimes do in the gym.
Like 'I've never lifted X weight for reps...I can only get 4 reps.'
Hell I want to use it to make my ass get up earlier!!

Well i'm sceptic about that to say the least. A nice rock music at the right time will do more than someone flushing the toilet like i heard in that mp3, imho.

Hard to say. I know positive energy and a posititve lifting partner are HUGE for me. I always have better gains when im lifting with a postitive, dedicated, lifting partner. I always try do the same for my partner. Example if someone is getting ready to bench, "How many you trying to get." ...."I dunno 6 or 7."....."Ok, lets go were getting 8." Stuff like that. I am also a big believer in postitive visualization. Seeing yourself do something in your head before doing it. I use this a lot when Im golfing.
