What Would You Do?

Bigger, Faster, Stronger got me to thinking...

We all here have a much greater interest in gaining muscle or being powerful than the average person. I know there is stuff in experimental stages that is being used by some Olympians in the upcoming Beijing games. Now here's the question and I want some honest answers and really dwell on it before you answer.

If you had access right now to a experimental drug that would double your muscle fibers or alter a gene that would increase muscle two fold or more (i.e. Myostatin or something newer even) basically making you extremely muscular to the point of you could compete in Mr. Olympia if you wanted to get that big or whatever size you wanted if you wanted to be a little smaller than that. And/or break Powerlifting records with amazing strength, and just be powerful in general wherever you are.....WOULD YOU DO IT?

Keep in mind two important things

1. People are going to know you took this stuff and that's why you are the way you are.

2. It is still experimental and could have very dangerous side effects, quite possibly fatal, but probably a 20% chance or so for death.

This is the perfect forum to ask this question because almost all of us in here want more than anything to be muscular beyond what we thought we could achieve or more power and strength than we ever imagined.

So I ask, what would you do? If you had access to it right now would you do it given the 2 reasons I listed and maybe even your own personal reasons.

I'll make a poll too and keep it very simple with just a yes or no because in the end that's what it comes down to.... very curious too see the answers on this.

AAS has small side effects which is why most people "chance it." To alter your DNA is crazy. Since you altered your genes you are running the risk of not only effecting your child but the entire family line after you.

This sounds sort of like that pole that they gave to olympic athletes in the early 90's. The question was something like, "If you could take a substance that was undetectable, and would guarentee that you would win every event you entered for the next 10 years, but then you would die from it imediately after..... would you take it?"
Something like 90% answered "Yes".

THe people knowing really doesnt mean shit to me. But 20% chance of death isnt worth it to me

No i would not,bump what dsm said, it is always easy to say i would do this or that and that it would be worth it to me but when you are all f'd up or laying on your death bed people often have a change of attitude and all of the sudden it not worth it anymore but its to late at that point,game over.

Let someone else test it, i`d wait untill its more safe and refined.

The only way I would subject myself to such danger is if the genetic mutation came with something more cool, like super hero powers.

Ok so around 2-1 on avg. so far of people that wouldn't do it. I thought it would be the other way around for some reason. Maybe I should say 10% chance of death lol.

I wouldnt care about it being dangerous with sides etc. The thing for me would be the danger of the wrong muscles getting big. I dont want to look deformed, massive facial muscles etc. There are some muscles you dont want big, and I doubt the choice would be there with this stuff.
