Metal Anyone?
Just wondering what your MP3 player consists of. I train to Hatebreed and Throwdown mostly. Pantera is my favorite but some of the songs are a bit slow for the gym. "Proven" by Hatebreed is the kill all end all. Throwdown is inspirational. "Discipline" is my favorite by them. Whats your flavor?

I've never been able to get into death or black metal. Well, some black metal. Meshugga is one of my favs. You need a calculator to figure out what time signature they're playing in. You cant even bob your head to that stuff.
Here is my benchpress song.

My ex-band used to play blackened death metal.
We kept it simple. 4/4 playing 16th notes on drums. I could never go above 220 bpms playing 16ths.
that was a real leg workout though lol

i grew up playing in bands for years and am very into music. i like metal but im more into hardcore. i listen to a few metal bands, meshuggah is great i agree, gotta love bands that go out of the norm time signatures, aka a life once lost (but they kinda rip off meshuggah. guys, take a listen to turmoil, buried alive, will haven, ed gein. and as for as cleaner hardcore i listen to comeback kid, carry on, in my eyes, floorpunch, american nightmare.
heres one of my past bands. we arent BROKEN up id say its like we are just on major break (most members are busy in another band, which i was also in but left)-
if you like crustpunk/metal- http://www.myspace.com/takeholdsound
hardcore band i was also in, still playing strong- http://www.myspace.com/braindeadhxc

Heres a few video's of my old band Order By Chaos. We were pretty big around here back in the day. Did several major tours. 3000+ kids a night type stuff. I miss it BAD but I have a family now.

And for those of you into hardcore, the guitarist with the dreads is Eric from Bury Your Dead. He was 18 when he was with us.

If you listen to the words of "Proven" by Hatebreed, there is no way you will get pinned on the bench. I promise you that. That was the song I was listening to the 1st time I benched enough weight to bend the bar and thats all I've listened to on chest days since. The 1st Slipknot record is the baddest shit I've ever heard other than "Vulgar Display of Power" by Pantera. F**KING HOSTILE and BY DEMONS BE DRIVEN.
