"Banning guns is an idea whos time has come" - Joe Biden
"I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is. The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training." - Biden referring to Obama

Talk about a retarded pick for a VP.. not like Obama's any better... He said that his grandma was a "typical white person" in that she was racist.

    Obama -
Voted to ban the sale and transfer of semi-automatic weapons in Illinois
Supports a ban on handguns.. including Washington DC's failed one
Voted in favor of the PATRIOT act
Supports granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants
Voted against declaring English the official language of the US gov.

But yeah, he's a friend of the constitution and good for the country...

    Exactly.

Here's Biden AND McCain together on the 2004 bill: Biden as sponsor and McCain as co-sponsor:

McCain also wants to ban DHEA, which is pretty much just used for anti-aging by older folks:

I was really disappointed with Obama's pick of Biden.

Like some other posters pointed out, Biden is also really anti-2nd Amendment. Obama could have picked someone like Gov. Bill Richardson of NM who is on good terms with the NRA. Heck, anyone other than Biden would have at least been more tolerant on the steroid /supplement issue. Tim Kaine of VA, Kathleen Sebelius of KS, Hillary, whoever.

I'm certainly not going to vote for McCain though.

I may defect to Bob Barr or write in Ron Paul.

A vote for anyone besides McCain is a vote for Obama.

You act as though Libertarians don't care about the less fortunate, which is absolute non-sense. The cold truth is that central planning, no matter how persuasive the argument sounds on paper, cannot work. Only freedom to keep what you earn and voluntary charity can lower the poverty levels in this country. Economic truth will tell you that social programs do not work and no amount of embelishing the truth can hide that fact.

Obama voted no on the "defense of marriage act" while Mccain voted yes, yet they're both against gay marriage. Seems to me like they believe the same exact thing. Only when I hear Obama say marriage should be taken out of government will I believe he's pro-equal rights.

Neither, which is why I'm not voting for either. Mccain is against steroids , for sure, but not to the extent of Biden.

Again, the difference is that Biden Sponsored those bills and spearheaded them. While Mccain only Cosponsed them.
