    In their prime anyway.
for their time they might have been alright, but the evolution of music and what modern bands are putting out makes them look absolutely horrid. i cant even listen to metallica without laughing at how simple they always were. pantera was too redneck for me and slayer was always a mess.

That's a bit unfair really. Metallica are good take out all the other bull shit that has come with them for years yes there have been the odd shite album here and there but what good band hasn't really. Slayer are a kinda love or hate band and personally I like them. Have some epic songs and albums and still sound good no matter how many times you listen to them.

Yep they are class. Pantera's songs I don't think have aged badly whereas modern music I don't think has the quality or believe for want of a better word that the older music has and will always have. I can't see myself listening to Slipknot's newer albums in years to come whereas I can see my self listening to Slayer, Pantera, Metallica, Megadeth, Thin Lizzy etc for a long long time to come.

I saw Nickelback, Trapt, and Default in Des Moines Ia in 2005.

It was honestly the best show I've ever seen.
