Its very rare that you hear of nfl players testing positive. I guess no one the nfl does them. Good training and dialed in diets

They better fvck him out of all his records and achievements and hall of fame and all that good stuff...IF thats what happens to bonds when its all said and done... I personally dont give a shlt and im a huge fan of baseball, they were all fvckin juicen and they all will continue too an get away with it in most cases. Its really not any different then them using any other drug like the whole "greenies" or amphetamine problem in baseball thats been around since the 40s. I think the media should stop feeding this bs to us cause I DONT CARE

Who cares.... They weren't banned in baseball when he tested positive.
Just admit to it right away if I were him. Giambi and Pettite did and they were forgiven, shit, Giambi won comeback player of the year the following season and Andy pitched the final game at Yankee Stadium.

^^^Agree. I just hate how the public feels so entitled. Who the **** are they to determine what is right and wrong and what shall be condoned. Some fat **** pays $15 dollars to watch a game with his retarded son and now he acts as if someone shit in his cereal when he finds out his "heroes" are cheating.
The fact of the matter is that it was not "illegal" when he tested positive as someone above pointed out. At this point it would be safe to assume any decent ball player has taken or is taking gear. Does anyone really have a problem with that? Its not as if they are killing themselves over it. I would assume they have the money and people around them to make sure they are properly dosing and doing pct.

I just got done watching a little more ESPN and everything just pisses me off about this whole thing. I am one of the biggest baseball fans you will ever find. Baseball is everything to me. I can't go a day without some baseball. I grew up 30 minutes from Cooperstown and still make it back to the hall of fame about three times a year.
With all that being said, I just can't get over why this is such a big deal. It has been called the STEROID ERA.... what a shocker, PEOPLE USED STEROIDS !!!!! Now it is assumed that three of the GREATEST players ever have used steroids... so what!!! Aside from Clemons it looks like Bonds and Arod tested positive when steroids were not banned in baseball so no foul there. Now the kicker is that these guys, along with Palmero & Sosa probably will never see the Hall of Fame in their lifetime because of the uptight, 80 year old 'purest' who are the majority of the selection commitee. The same guys who knew all to well back in the day a lot of their hero's were real pieces of shit who did a hell of a lot worse things on and off the field, but god forbid they speak badly of them... No, the only people who will be persecuted by these writters are the talented ball players of today that are much better then the players of old.
Barry Bonds, Roger Clemons & Alex Rodriguez will be in the Hall of Fame someday, but I don't think they will be alive to recieve their justice.
Get off their shit columnists, go cover Kobe and Lebron, or NASCAR or some shit like that.

I agree with pretty much everything you are saying. It also points out the voting for the Hall of Fame is a joke. Why is Pete Rose still not in yet? Ty Cobb was a cock of epic proportions and yet he is in. We are evaluating playing careers not extracaricular affairs.

basically i think it boils down to the fact that steroids are illegal. and even if he had a doc's script he didn't need them. just playing some devil's advocate, but I believe that's why there is an outcry now. but i will agree that it is still stupid for so many to get worked up over this.
i think we as fans deserve the greatest athletes science can create. whatever makes you run faster and jump higher; i want my athletes like my video games...lets go!

Now your talking. If you had things available that would make you better at your job wouldn't you do them? I know I would. I think most of the backlash comes from idiots that look at it like a magic pill. As if just taking steriods is the answer. We will hate an admitted steroid user but hold another athlete, who is probably using but just didn't get caught, in the highest of regards. Its so incredibly hypocritical.

In Bigger Stronger Faster the point is brought up about how Tiger Woods has had Lasik eye surgery to make his eyesight BETTER then perfect. How is that not enhancing his performance? He can now see things that he wasn't able to before and he was the best before he had it done so why did he need it?
It is such bullshit!

The "steroid era" just makes pitchers that dominated that time period like Pedro Martinez, Randy Johnson and Greg Maddux seem more impressive to me

Pitchers
It's an equal playing field. The same amount of pitchers used steroids as batters so it's really not impressive what they did all things considered. Either way, a great athlete is fun to watch. Baseball soared because of Maguire, Sosa and Bonds. People pay to watch things that they can NOT do themselves and be amazed. I don't care what they are doing behind the scenes--as long as they are not promoting this behavior to "young children". People should be allowed to make their own decisions in life once they are 18!
This is why the Home Run Derby is so awesome to watch. Nobody watches a bunting contest--people love POWER and STRENGTH!

!
I cant wait to see the other 100+ names that will soon come out!
They should just legalize them in all sports...
100 HR's in a season
500 yard drive
3 minute mile
1000 lb bench press
you get the idea!!
