I have to for my suits. Impossible to get pants that fit when your chest is so big. The only way to go is seperates for me these days.

suits always, but how does anyone buy a suit? Suit seperates never fit anyone right.
But some of my suits I bought only 2 years ago and getting tight in the shoulders and other places.

I get suits and button-ups made bespoke. I spend way too much money on things that I will outgrow in one year but they just look sooo muuuch better..

^^ lol.
i don't get tailored clothes, my dad used to and my mom still uses it as ridicule to how much he would spend on just a simple dress shirt (and yes its a lot)
the only thing for me was having to get a few suits tailored after i wrestled because i got a good bit wider shoulders from that

For suits I usually buy separates and have them tailored. Also, Jones of New York make a really nice Athletic cut suit. Still may need some tailoring but less than a normal fit suit. Mens Warehouse has denied me sales before, lol.
Dress shirts I buy from Brookes Brothers. They have a style called "slim fit" which is normal in the shoulders and tapers in the waist

Don't laugh, I bought XXL dress shirts at WalMart with the extened colar built in. They cost here in MD $13.99 for the XXL or the XXXL. Then I took them to the tailor and for $10.00/each he tapered them all. I have 5 "custom" shirts. My neck is 19-20 so have the colar thing is veri ideal and the shirts look awesome. I get asked all the time where I buy them. I never have given out the secret until now....................Men's Wharehouse sold me a shirt that was supposed to taper and it still looks like a tent. I took it back. It was something like $70. Suits are a whole different issue. I just bought 2 in Nov and I did as someone else said, seperates. My coat size is 50-52 and 34 waist in summer 36 in winter. Don't get me started on legs. That has turned out to be an issue. Pants all need to be altered.............

I have Tom James Company make my clothes. They come to you at the office or home with fabrics. Measure and order you specifics(cuff styles, collar styles, mongrams, etc.) and you get your order in 4-6 weeks usually. I don't have to because of my build but it sure helps. Once you go custom fit you never go back.
