Good birthday ideas...

My girlfriend's birthday is tomorrow and I don't really have much planned.
Anyone have any good ideas of where to take her or what to do?
I've been in the doghouse lately so want to try to do something impressive.

where is the effort in just going to dinner and a movie???

this is HER special day. I think you should show her you are putting thought into it especially since you are in the dog house.

you want out of the doghouse, do what she wouldn't expect from you whatever that may be,

wake her with her favorite breakfast or coffee or tea
have her favorite flowers delivered to her at work or home, preferable at work or where she will be around other people. women love for other women to see them get gifts delivered to them

clean the house for her, do dishes,

pamper her

go to the spa with her. i don't know your gf, but most girls would like going to a spa and this way you could do it together. and yes, its gay, but since its her birthday you have a good excuse

Sounds weird but take her paintballing, there are plenty of places where you can go and just play with other people and rent gear. Worked great for my girls bday, plus she can take some frustration out on you haha

Cool, thanks for some helpful ideas guys.
I think I'm gonna go with surprising her with a birthday cake in the morning, flowers at work, and that night I'll light some candles and stuff.
The candle idea is genius because it's one of those small things that chicks will notice.
Also she'd never expect any of this out of me.

I've done 2 nice things for girls on B-days.

First:
I got her a fish aquarium, she was living with her parents at the time and they would allow no pets, but she really wanted them. I knew if I got her one, they would let her have it.

I got everything, installed it, set it up and put some pretty fish in it for her. So when she got home, it was already in her room ready to go with a card in front of it. It looked really nice and she loved it.

Number 2

She always fell asleep watching a little 13" tv with a VCR built in it. The worse part? she watched the same VHS every night because the cable TV was not ran in her room. SHe watched Coyote Ugly every night.

I bought her a LCD for her room and wall mount. I installed the windows and did the roof on the apartment building so I knew the landlord. Talked to him, got a key while she was at work. I ran cable from living room, to her bedroom. It was a pain. Installed the wall mount, and the TV. Put batteries in the remote, left it on her night stand with a card. I left the T.V. on, and kinda loud so she would walk in her room to turn it off when she got home.

She broke up with me later that week.

I'd recommend going with the fish tank.

cooking her dinner from appetizer to dessert is always a winner. flowers to the job to start the day is not a bad idea.

it must be a complete surprise...when she walks in have the place already lit with candles...have her drop her things, have a tall glass of wine already poured. sit her down with some music in background and let her know that it is her night that your handling it from A-Z. after dinner...polish off the wine and well buddy, you best be able to take it from there!

I was upset at first, or hurt. But I talk to her when I see her now still. No hard feelings on my part.

Did not talk to her for about 2 months. She went through a period of wanting me back, but I ignored it. Talked to her awhile after, just told her we have mutual friends, and I'd like to get along. She has a BF now, I have a GF. We don't talk, but we hug and converse if we run into one another.

I normally whisper in her ear "give me my ****ing TV you little bitch". lol.

I could never do that.

1, I cook for myself and have adjusted to eating undercooked things. I cook everything with a ton of salt too, she would never want to eat my cooking of rotten under cooked food.

2. It's too cheesy. Like something read off MSN home page for v-day. Rose pedals to the tub, and a drawn hot bath with scented oils in the water. Candles all around the tub and no lights on. Slowly massage her in the tub to relax her body and caress her and kiss her neck. Gracefully pick her up, and carry her to the bedroom where more candles are lite in to lighten the area. Perform oral cullings on her even if she is on her period, earn them red wings.

3. Afterwords watch a romantic comedy with her. Hold her the entire time, even if she has your man juice all over her chest still. Hold her tight so she feels safe and secure. Let her fall asleep in your arms and have a nice breakfast ready for her when she wakes up.

Actually, after typing that, I bet you could get anal the next day or at least on your b-day.

Tonight went really well...
Showed up at her house with a surprise gift, took her out for sushi and called ahead to tell them it was her birthday and to surprise her with a desert, took her to the video store and let her pick out two movies (anything she wanted no matter how girly), then took her back to my house, told her to lay down as I lit some candles and put on her favorite band (I hate the **** out of this band and she knows it but I downloaded some of their songs just for tonight), gave her a good long massage, then had some great sex and watched a couple lame movies.
I think it was a success.
Plus tomorrow I've got a couple more surprises lined up for her.

Thanks the the help and some good ideas guys. The candles, music, and massage trio went over GREAT. Funny how that was the one that didn't cost me a dime.
