Diets cheats that work only for you
This thought was sparked by the 3 year old thread recently bumped about Jay cutler drinking coke after a work out..
ok my question is NOT what is your favorite cheat, but what is something you put into your diet that typically would be called a cheat, but is something you have in your normal diet.
mine:
fruit loops, (like up wards of three bowls a day at times)
subway or publix subs
--i can eat these things all the time and still stay trim

i have an average clean diet, i do however stay away from McD*nal*s and Stuff but i love chocolate cake and Coke, i also drink a coke after my workout, coz it restores my sugar levels, i dont have to really diet clean, coz i already have an overactive Thyroid so fat just doesnt stick.. For now.

hmmm i dunno if it would be called a cheat by some but at times i have a meal that doesnt fit my standard macros. It usually consists of higher carb / lower protein intake than normal meal macros. ie: Turkey on whole wheat with lowfat cheese ,mustard, lettuce ,pickles and 1/3 - 1/2 cup of natural applesauce on the side , and a sweet potato.

sugar free syrup,taste good with egg whites, fat free sugar free balsamic vinaigrette dressing, taste good with chicken, i also eat philly swirl popsicles i get from sams club. ill have one every 3-4 weeks when i feel like a little treat, all they have is sugar alcohol

i try to treat my protein shakes more like a treat. I jazz them up a bit with a scoop of ice cream thrown in, vanilla extract, crushed ice, etc. My PWO shakes are just milk and whey protein but if im trying to cheat thats a good way and you dont feel so guilty about it.

I do a ten day on and then I have a cheat meal.......now I can change that and cheat a little more if I push my cardio I will move it up to every seven days...but I have my bf% tested every week so I know where I stand.....at all times....

once a week I will make my can of tuna into a tuna melt on a whole wheat crispy bun, with sharp cheddar. WOW is it ever good

you can try this to.....I like to do this around summer time....but after lifting weights, instead of using sugar in pwo like some do....
frozen bannannas.....frozen strawberries........apple juice
in blender
=tits
for some reason, if you do the same thing above, but put in bananna flavored muscle milk, its TRUCKING amazing.

I have a tendency to buy a big bucket of icecream and finish that off by the end of the week....chockalage frozen yogurt actually.

when in stir we had to be a little more liberal with our diet, but I ate a triple decker peanut butter and jelly twice a day most of the time to bulk an man the results were amazing. I was in the best shape I have ever been in and the biggest proportionatley as well.

fvckin potato chips. I love them for some reason. I cheat a lot tho, im one of those guys who can never get fat and is naturally cut. As long as my meals have enough protein im good. Im a bit of a hardgainer tho, fast metabolism, or inefficient stomach and intestine.

i agree, there merely add-ons to make things go down easier. ive been eating clean for so long now, that eating pizza or something of the sort just makes me feel like crap, sushi is all i eat when i decide to cheat. IMO cheat meals are there keep you sane when on a strict diet and of course help change things up , i dont abuse them

Honestly, I just watched an enlightening video of victor martinez on muscular development. Even within the top pros, those guys suffer during contest prep...its not just genetics and drugs, majority of those guys diet hard.
victor hates cheating and would rather not do it interestingly.

You can't cheat much while dieting for a competition, unless coming in at your best is not important. My occasional cheat meal is sushi. But not the last 4 weeks or so. I dip in soy sauce which throws my sodium off and causes some changes in water retention. When dieting, sudden weight changes play with my mind.
Interesting thing is that after 3 months of dieting, I can eat anything for a month afterwards and not gain a pound. Im talking anything and everything.
Im 8 weeks out from my next competition and will celebrate my 26th anniversary next week. Im going to get a nice sushi platter!
