Friend w/ Compartment Syndrome... (Graphic Photos inside)
Buddy started a cycle 3 weeks ago (test & Dbol ) and had put 20lbs on, then last weekend - he felt incredible pain in his leg where he had to get sliced to relieve pressure due to compartment syndrome...
now, I'm from a small town.... so everybody who juices in that area has stopped their cycle in fear that this is a result from the gear...
I've read that this kind of injury happens to people involved in some sort of trauma or repetitive usage of a muscle.
This guy hadn't been in the gym for 6 months, and then immediately jumped on cycle...squating and deadlifting ridiculous amounts. However, he was definitely fit since he was working in the oil rigs for the 6 months prior...
I'm thinking this could have been due to the fact his body had put so much weight on in so little time, combined with the fact of 'trauma' from heavy deads and squats.. but who knows.
What you guys think?

Taken from wikipedia - and it sounds like since your bud jumoed into a cycle without training consistently prior to throwing around shit loads of weight (even if fit from the rig)
did this to himself...i hope he learned his lesson.
Compartment syndrome
Causes
Because the connective tissue that defines the compartment does not stretch, a small amount of bleeding into the compartment, or swelling of the muscles within the compartment can cause the pressure to rise greatly. Common causes of compartment syndrome include tibial or forearm fractures, ischemic-reperfusion following injury, hemorrhage, vascular puncture, intravenous drug injection, casts, prolonged limb compression, crush injuries and burns.[1][2] Another possible cause can be from the use of creatine monohydrate. A history of creatine use has been linked to this condition.[3][4]

Campartment syndrom can be caused by many things. Injuries mostly, but injecting crap gear in you...or even good gear the wrong way can also cause it. This is why I don't agree with injecting into small muscle groups ie: Calf, forarms...etc

Really cool looking inside the body like that. Hopefully this helps scare some of the noobs off.
