To be fair, the show (while good for pro-steroid activists) was not entirely accurate.
He said "show me the bodies" as to say no one has died from steroid use , in reality there are around a dozen of pro bodybuilders or aspiring bodybuilders who have died from steroid use, they haven't been linked definetly, but it is beyond a reasonable doubt.
However, in several of the cases, for example one that I can think of off the top of my head, a pro bodybuilder died from organ failure after years of high dosage steroid abuse in Germany (I believe).
But even these deaths pale in comparsion to deaths each year from alcohol posioning or tobacco or even over the counter medication use.
Most of the side effects of steroids , even with abuse, rarely results in death (long term), most deal with one factor:
Heart diesease (enlargment of the heart or artieries which requires surgery when the bodybuilder reaches 40-50 years old)
Other than that other side effects (even from abuse) is usually not life threatening (bitch tits, hair loss, erectile dysfunction, sterility, permanent HPTA shutdown, etc.)
