have to say he is right about this.. my old team's leader (when i was a LEO) was a retired SGM , who did 30 of his 34 yrs with the rangers.. he was put to plt sgt of the team within two months of joining.. a position that usually takes years to get..

and to the begining question.. if your goal is being any type of LEO then any military MOS will feed into it.

My .02...it all depends on what your looking for. Regardless of what your job is, military looks great on a resume. My job was building bombs and it helped a shit load with me getting a CORPORATE job. They see it as discipline, leadership experience, etc. I would go with the branch that pays the most tuition, GI bill, etc. For me, it was the AF. They paid for all of my school.
