I've got $2K in my will that goes to buy booze and throw a party for all my family and friends. They gotta prop me up in a corner and stick a nice, fat Cohiba in my mouth. I could give a fvck what they say about me. I just want them to have fun and remember all the good times we had.

So the greatest common denominator of this thread (so far) is that most people really won't care what people say about them at their own funeral. But if you do care, then they'll probably talk poorly about you. What that basically says is this:
'If people would just change and see the world from my chair and walk in my shoes, then I'd be more liked and cared for while I'm alive here on Earth. My agenda is the most important and if you're not accomodating my wants and needs, then you're against me and I have no room for you in my life. I've got great things to offer, but you don't deserve it because I'm better than you. And that's why I continue to reject what you have to offer to me because I don't need you in my life.'
Question: If you KNEW that people were going to talk poorly about you at your funeral, would you be willing to change right now? (Change how you live, reprioritize your wants and needs, communicate better, desire to be more kind and caring, do a little more for others, see outside of yourself, etc.)

You assume that anyone would show up to my funeral.
The only way that's happening is if I die before my mother. Then people will show up for her and say nice things about me to support her.
Otherwise I'm guessing unwept and unsung in a cheap pine box.
