Any musicians here?
Any of you guys play an instrument, or play several?
I'd really like to undertake one...I was thinking of the piano.
I mean check this out:

For those game nerds out there, its a theme for a game but its amazing how agile his hands are, it just sounds amazing. Any of you guys play piano or any instrument for that matter? Did it take you awhile to get good with what you picked up and can any of you knock out any decent tunes?

I play the drums and very little guitar.
I caught on pretty fast on the drums as far as basic beats and stuff, but to actually get good and play various things, took me a good two years or so. Then again, I didn't practice like I should have.
With the guitar, I'm a lost cause lol. I just can't seem to catch on.
Piano would be a cool choice. Actually, if I could start all over, I would've gone with the keyboard/synth/piano.

I play the man-flute.

This is also very cool. Pianos/keyboards seem so versatile compared to other musical instruments, not to take anything away from drums or guitars...it just seems easier to convey a song with keys.
Big and BigSexy, are drums as knackering to play as im told?
DSM, yeah..accoustic sounds awesome. I always prefered the sound of an accoustic guitar over electrical.

A lot of people just plain suck at drums. And yes, its tough to have all four limbs doing different things, and to keep it going constantly, and on beat. Just about all my friends play an instrument, and only 1 of them can play the drums decently.
It can, and does, get tiring, but if you can catch on and learn to play, drums are fun.

I have always wanted to learn the guitar but not eclectic. I love the acoustic sound of songs.

Im always on the fiddle...

Piano formally when I was younger, then in later years I taught myself basic chords/progressions and what not.
Need to know that stuff for making EDM which is what I like to do.

I have been playing the drums since elementry school. 20 something years. Had a garage band in high school. But we were never as hard or as good as we wanted to be. The piano is the foundation for all instruments. If you can master that, you can master anything.

Been playing guitar for 10 years! Started to learn on electric when I was in middle school - played in a ban during H-School... mostly classic rock stuff, fun bluesey shiot. Now I play mostly acoustic, and use an Ovation. They F-ing ROCK. In Florida I can take it to the beach and outside in the humidity and it never falters tuning-wise. Most acoustics you have to be careful about that... So if you are gonna buy a guitar I seriously recommend Ovation.
I do singer-songwriter stuff, mostly jazzy now... Kinda like John Mayer and Jack Johnson. I sing too, play at the local Open Mics, and sometimes record @ home in my bedroom with Garage Band and stuff. Right now I live with another musician so it's fun to jam out together, he plays guitar too.
And before you knock on the John Mayer and JJ style of music... let me tell you - I have gotten laid SO many times from playin the acoustic. Trust me, it's worth it.

I used to play drums
I competed in Drum Corps International 2001, toured for 3 months and decided that was rewarding enough since I only played for pure competition DCI is the best it gets so I was satisfied.
