it took me 20 years to attain the management position I am in and a 2 week convention of VP's to do away with my level and reduce management headcount.
won't automatically loose my job in 2 years when this plan is implemented, but those that stay will no longer have any direct reports... so what is the use of being a manager if you have no one to manage....

well, if this isn't the best day ever. Today is the 1yr anniversary of the death of one of my best friends at 33yrs old. If that wasn't enough, I'm afraid I totally screwed myself. While lifting this morning, I heard a "pop" in the middle of my chest. It hurt some, but I finished my workout. Now it hurts like shit to breathe. I choked on a blueberry and thought I was gonna die. feels like a railroad spike stuck through my chest and out my back.

crap - i guess some days are just like this.
