Thanks a lot for all the great and uplifting responses. As of now the brain ultrasound is ok, no problems but the seizures are still there but hopefully it will be lessen. tomorrow or the next they they will do a test called lumbar top don't know if I'm correct. they will get a water sample on his spinal cord. We are praying that the results will be fine.

Thanks for the update JBM, hopefully the lumbar puncture (spinal tap) will come out normal and brain function continues to improve. We are here for you, keep us updated!!

his son is having seizures, they need to find out if there are bacterial or viral infections such as meningitis and they can also determine the intra-cranial pressure through the tap

Hey JBM i have just seen this thread.

Dude my bro had his second babay which was a boy called Taylor. when he was born they took him home and 2 days latter was having really bad fits, shakking like crazy. My bro took him back to the hospital where they put him on a drip and was treating it as meningitis. After a week of the drugs and lots of late nights they started to perform tests to see if any long term effects. Well they was worried he had lost his hearing, my bro was just happy to have him well again. After around 10days they took him home and 4mths on he is a heathly strong baby boy

Just want to say mate things were tough for us and especially my bro and his girl friend, Taylors hearing is fine and things are looking good. Things when at there worst can really show the meaning to life and how we look at things.

I pray your baby is fine bro and i am sure things will be.

My baby did not show any signs of seizures for more than 12 hours now. swelling of the brain is now ok. Things are looking great. lumbar top test might not be necessary anymore.
I'm still very very optimistic that my baby boy will fully recover ASAP!

Good News... my baby is improving no seizures for almost 3 days... but breast milk is still done through tube. Hopefully these coming days they will remove the oxygen and dextrose.
