Hypothetical- Having gear seized by customs etc.

This is a hypothetical question to inform people of the issues of trying to purchase illegal substances overseas etc.

Let me start by saying I've never purchased gear locally or via the internet. Just curious what your thoughts and experiences are with having products seized by customs into your country of residence. Knowing that customs is able to open ANY and EVERY package that is being brought into a country what % do you think get caught. Also, what happens to the consumer when a product is seized?

Again, this is a hypothetical question as I know the people on this forum do not engage in these activities but I'm sure there are people new here that would benefit to hearing what may happen to them if they try probbing for sources etc.

    Thanks,
    Pete
