yea its pretty popular these days, apparently u arent cool unless u have one of the 50 different types of HPV. i dont think there is an actual test for men that can tell you if u have it, however u could develope the visual signs, which a doctor should be able to tell you if its HPV for sure. at least its not HIV!!

you actually dont know.
you could have HPV
there are like 20 different strands
some are impossible to test for
and almost all.... show no signs or have any syptoms. its just a simple virus. that usually within 2 years your immune system surpresses
so you could have it. have had it for years and never know.

I have hpv. No visual signs on me tho. Males are mainly just carriers. If ur wife doesn't have it yet there is a vaccine for women and I believe it goes away on it's own in males after a few years. If u search my threads I started one on hpv a few months ago and there is a lot of good info in there.

it will go away by itself, been around for ever, dont get the shot. shot is worse for you then the Virus. most women contract froma yeast infection at least once in their life
-
07-30-2009, 10:43 AM #25
the shot can cause cervical cancer that is says it prevents just google it and see

i gotta agree with aj, the shot can cause more problems than the actual virus itself. theres about 50 different strands, and only ONE of those strands causes the warts. so basically if your a male you have no idea if you have it, dont just assume you dont. im pretty sure HPV is the most common std adn like 90% of us have at least 1 strain.

HPV can also lay dormant in women..... My wife tested posotive then 6 months later..... it didn't show up.
You could wear a rubber every time you have sex..... find the one you love...... be married for 5 years having unprotected sex..... and then one day she could test posotive for it. Just because she didn't test posotive for it this time..... doesn't mean she wont next time LOL
It's the gift that keeps on giving! or was that herpes?

You certainly need to have a doctor look at it, and why you are at it. You MUST ask him to take blood and look for "HSV Antibodies"..otherwise they will not look for that, but they will look for HIV.
So you are married and all of a sudden have a breakout? Have you cheated on your wife? Or has she?
Regardless of that, have it looked at and make sure to get the proper blood work done.***No source checks!!!***

Dude are we all talking about the same thing, human papiloma virus all the 12 year olds are having to get vaccinated for now?
-

I don't need to be told anything about STD's my friend. I did my time in Health Care...I know enough.
And yes, you MUST ask for them to check otherwise they will do routine bloodwork (HIV). This is why so many ****sticks walk around with HSV and spread it, because they are too goddamn ignorant to ask the right questions or they are too scared to know the truth.
I've seen it all.***No source checks!!!***

what is the HSV u are talkin about? I know women can get cervical cancer, but as long as they get there pap smears every 6 months it should always be caught in time to fix up.
