I don't think you'll really lose any weight for a few weeks, because you're not exactly burning calories either.
Anytime I get sick I drop a few pounds but always attribute it to dehydration/fever etc.
As sick as you are, I can honestly tell you to try enjoying it. I feel like I've been working myself into a coma in recent months.. if thats possible, but god how I could use some swine flu in my life..

You sure its not pneumonia?
I had it about 4 years back and it nearly killed me. Went undiagnosed for around a week. Temp was upto 104 and I have never sweated so much in my life. I'd go through sheets every 5 minutes.
I lost 25lbs in 10 days. Hardly ate either.
Every time I got up I'd lose my breath. Ended up in hospital on an oxygen mask and antiboitic IV for a few days.
Started with a a cough that got worse and worse, then temp, sick etc...

Yeah pneumonia is no fun either. The worse I ever had was Hepatitis B (1990). I went from a very healthy 165 27 yr old to a 120 lb weakling in less than 2 weeks. It took almost 6 months to recover but I still never fully recovered until a little over a year ago after getting on HRT. I still dont think I'm 100% but that can be due to many other physical issues now. Getting older sucks.
Doc said I should have died due to my red/white??? blood cell count. He said the only thing that kept me alive was I was forcing myself to still drink my liquid amino acid and take my regiment of vitamins as well as milk thistle and other good things.Last edited by lovbyts; 08-09-2009 at 04:30 AM.
