    Japan

Hey guys. Have you ever been to Japan? If so what did you do there?
What would you do if you would go to Japan?

I´m going there next week to meet some friends. I like watching MMA. I am 26 years old but i like Disney land and Universal Studios.

Do you know if it´s expensive there. Like food in restaurants.

I was in japan for 12 yrs.

Universal studies there is pretty lame. It's quite a train ride even on the shinkansan (bullet train) I assume your going to Tokyo? Disneyland, Hackajiman (water park) etc...

Prices are about the same as california for food, but less food. try yakiniku when you go, sushi etc..

    Bro,

I been here fo 10 years, I love the place.
I get to a lot of MMA shows, was getting free tickets for Pride back in the day.
I speak Japanese, but in Tokyo you will be fine without it. If you plan on travleing in Japan get your yourself a Japan Rail pass before you come here, this will save a few dollars.
Drop me an PM before you come and I will make time to hook up.

    Peace

Most of the time in Tokyo. I will spend 2 or 3 days in Osaka and maybe go to Kyoto for one day. I have some Japanese friends in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and one friend that live in Okinawa but I think that it´s expensive to fly to Okinawa and back to Tokyo.
I´m gonna be there for 12 days.

    Do they have good nightclubs?

Great. That must have been awesome to watch a Pride FC show live.
I don´t know if I will have time to or if there is a MMA show when I´m there.
Great. I only know a few words and sentences in Japanese.

Thanks. I knew thank you and excuse me. Ok it´s not too much if it´s just cost 500 dollar to go to Okinawa and back. I saw on some site and there it cost 900 dollar to go to Okinawa and back. I might go there if I have time.

When I was the in Feb this year I spent 2 weeks snow boarding up in Hokkaido. Heaps of fun if you're into it.

Price wise, I think we got the crappiest exchange rate we could, the official rate was about 58 yen to the AUD, but through the foreign money place they gave us something like 54 yen to the AUD. In effect with this sort of exchange rate, everything was about double what it cost here at home in Australia, but as we were on holidays we didn't care too much.

Trains are your best bet for getting around. Like the other guy said, get yourself a rail pass, which can be used over and over again, and recharged with Yen when you need to.

Don't make the mistake I did catching a taxi from the airport to my accommodation 40 minutes away. It ended up costing about 25000 Yen, which worked out to a bit over $400 AUD ! So just stick to the trains...

Yeah it is, I ran that company for 4-5 yrs before my car accident and then I had to pack it up. It was pretty much a 1 man team, but the wife helped and I had reps in the US which helped relieve my work load....

    damn I miss Japan.

When you get there - watch out for the Yakuza (basically Japanese Mafia).

You can easily identify them by their Horimonos (body suit, tattoos)

This could be why that song has always appealed to me. Time to have another listen.
