I never said the cop was right but i also never challenged an officer face-to-face because i know who is going to win everytime. She could have also locked her door, gave her license through a cracked window and requested a backup officer. By law (at least here) the cop has to call another officer.

That was excessive of the police officer, but that stupid broad resisted arrest and continued too resist. Now Im sure the officer could of arrested her without the taser. If the police ask you to do something, its in your best interest to do it. I have never had problems with the police when I have been pulled over, and I have done some pretty wrong things. Just give them straight answers and do what your told. Mabey you'll get a ticket, mabey you'll get arrested but you won't make anything better by resisting. You do wrong shit and the police are involved its just damage control from that time on.

Yeah she was resisting arrest but she seemed generally confused as to what was going on. Not to mention she had kids who she was probably concerned for. First he tells her to get back in the car....then he tells her after she starts to get back in that she is under arrest and holds a tazer on her. Seriously, would you not be a bit perplexed at this point.

Cop was a total douche bag. Another case of excessive use of force by a cop pulling over a lady for speeding with no record or anything who also has her kids in the back of the car. This cop was probably some pole smoker in HS who used to get picked on so he feels the need to be mr. tough guy to everyone. Also, the lady was not being disrespectful according to her interview and simply asked if she could see the tape and then he tells her to get in the car and then out because she is being arrested for no reason, who would not ask why they were being arrested for no reason? The cop needs to be fired and made an example of.

A traffic cop's job is dangerous enough without having to deal with an argumentative female walking around, wearing a big bulky overcoat that might conceal a weapon.

There's no way that a cop can process traffic stops if he has to let the automobile occupants get out and walk around his squad car and maybe attack him . . .

It's not at all unreasonable for a driver to have to stay in their car for few minutes while he processes some information. I can't picture that wench doing anything but getting in the way of the cop doing his job. If there were any kids inside the van, I hope they learned a lesson - that their mother is an idiot, and when a policeman tells you to stay in your car, then you should stay in your car.

Sometimes cops depending on where you live have nothing better to do than pull people over to be dicks. I'm sure anything that lady said was going to be taken by the officer as insulting, rude, disrespectful, non cooperative or whatever excuse he wants to tase the lady.
