Theoretical- what would happen if someone was caught with AAS in the U.S?

Theoretical question is what could potentially happen if someone was caught with 1 cycle worth of AAS by law enforcement? I know it's classified as a class III drug so would that person typically be arrested etc. or would the product be seized and a fine given? Do they typically only want the big fish and not care much for the end user? Would the penalties be similar to marijuana?

the sentencing guidelines are skewed from state to state.....also depending on if its a re-election year you're going to get screwed more due to media bias against aas......bottom line if you can't do the time don't do the crime....

if cops found you with steroids ..... you'd be the guy they would use to make an example of. It's not often ther eis a steroid bust - i can almost guarantee you'd get f*cked. Also.... if i'm not mistaken..... if you have a 10ml bottle of test E 250mg/ml - you get charged for the total weight including oil..... not just 2500mg's total hormone.

Check your local state laws to find out what the charges are for possession. However, if you are receiving a pack and it has been intercepted, you will likely be prosecuted under the United States Criminal Code, 18 USC, or 21 USC. Those cover Federal crimes. A first time offender, importing a moderate amount of AAS, will probably be able to get off with fines+probation, but could face 5 years in prison, if they really wanted to be dicks about it. Judging from the recent operation raw deal plea bargains, many of the people operating UGL's have gotten off with probation, or as little as 12-18 months in jail. To put that into perspective, what you are doing, as opposed to manufacturing & selling hundreds of bottles per week, is nothing.

One curious instance in Texas, is that they weigh everything, including the box. So you could potentially have 100mL's of Nandrolone Decanoate dosed at 1mg/mL, and if you break a certain threshold with total weight, will be charged with intent to distribute. Regardless of the fact that there isn't even enough active hormone to be effective.

No one said that laws make sense.

So if customs intercepts a package being delivered... you can get in trouble? I thought that seizures were pretty much just a loss of monitary, not a real threat to freedom.

The quantity is usually not worth their time. But if they chose to, yes they could prosecute you for it. All it would take is to do a controlled delivery, and then they could prove that you took possession of the pack.

No they don't. They have recently started putting sensors into the packs which can detect when they are opened, once they are opened they receive the signal and move in to raid your home.

Thats why you keep nothing illegal in your home and open the package off site after a day or two. No need to make their job easy for them.
