i used to think going with a friend was good just for some1 to push you that little harder, but then it just became a social meetin lol. we started slacking. now i go alone i think its better i get alot more done in much quicker time

I have a partner but I have to go alone sometimes..going alone does suck tho especially on a chest or shoulder day where u could need the spot...I hate getting spots from strangers because they usually suck at it..

i usually have a partner, its that competetion in a way that keeps me lifting hard and heavy, seems to me you either "need" it or not.

To me training with a partner is great.
If I have to go to the enter alone on leg day, then i'll be pissed.
Always sucks when you're completely alone in the gym (small gym).

lolololol i do legs on sundays and the gym is usually empty and its the way i love it on sundays .. %80 guys are either hangover or too lazy to train on sunday
Oh and i dont have a training partner because nobody really knows how to workout in that gym thats why most of them pay for personal training sessions

^^
I train on saturdays (legs anyway).
So I'm in the same boat.
I get a good effect from having people around though, people power as I would like to call it. I get stronger and more motivated when there is people around!

I train once a week with a good mate of mine, the other 4 days a week i train by myself. I always train harder with my mate, we always push each other and it's a good feeling to have somebody you trust to spot you.
But i do enjoy going to the gym with my headphones in and block out everyone and everything and just focus on my own lifting.

I havent had a training partner other than my Ipod in years. Its so hard to find someone reliable to train with. I keep telling myself that some day I will find that special someone to be my training partner but it hasnt happened yet.

I trained alone for awhile then 6 months ago my best friend wanted to get in shape, man it's been fun... The thing that gets me is when he wants to change my routine up and I have to tell him shut up and squat.

I am not lonely but when I work-out, I am alone.
We are born alone, we die alone we must also train alone.

I train alone. It's to hard to find someone who can stay with my schedule.

Yeah, I've never had a workout partner, I've tried finding someone to train with, but nobody has the dedication or they want to do their own thing, like train abs everyday lol, so I've been working out by myself pretty much from the start
not gonna lie, it gets depressing sometimes.

I have never thought of it as being lonely. I put my headphones and get to work. I have a job to do and I don't need any distractions. My wife has been showing up at the gym recently. And as much as it makes me happy that she wants to get in shape. It irritates the shit out of me if I have to stop and help her with her program.

I has its Pros and Cons
Pro: Someone to spot you
Pro: Helps keep you from taking a day off if you feel like it
Con: Have to wait and go when you and partner "agreed" on going
Con: they are not at same strength with you and you have to keep pulling plates every set

I started seeing huge progress when I stopped training with my partner. Training alone makes you more focused and brings out the beast in you. My friends train at the same gym I do, and they do waste a lot of time slacking off and talking.

I train alone.
I have done both and using HIT its good to have a partner. But during high volume stages, its ok to not have a partner.
