Best PC RPG Game?
I'd like to purchase a good rpg game for my laptop. I'd like something with decent graphics, not sure what my cpu can handle though? The specs are:
Model: HP F750US
AMD Athlon 64http://www.microsoft.com/isapi/redir.dll?prd=ie&ar=hotmail X 2 Dual Core TK-57 Processor 1.9GHZ
120GB hard drive
2GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7000M Integrated Graphics
Vista Home Premium
Suggestions?

I was always fond of oblivion 4 and its expansion shivering isle. Lots of playability in it as well as you don't actually have to follow the main story and you can practically do whatever you want!

I'll check it out. Any other suggestions?

I guess a better question would be what kind of RPG are you looking for? If you can answer this I can better gadge you towards a good rpg.

I haven't played in years but I really liked Secret of Mana (snes) and a game that came with my laptop called FATE. Fallout 3 looks amazing but I don't think my PC can handle it. Basically looking for decent graphics, leveling up, fighting, etc. I've been searching and oblivion keeps popping up so it must be good.

I would give Oblivion 4 a try there is as much as over 100 hours of game play with that game.

I am pretty sure it would, you might not get the best graphics out of it but it will work.

lol sorry had to say that, got a little brother who is addicted to this game
when ever i go see family, my lil brothers on this thing from 3pm after scool, till 2-3am at night, EVERYDAY
weekends, well basically when he wakes up till when he goes to sleep, usually a good 18 hours solid,
what makes it worse is he invites his mates over, and whenever i go to visit i have a housefull of 20 nerds with their laptops connected to my internet,
WORSE, they sit in all different rooms of my parents house,
i went toilet to take a shit once, and one of his friends was sitting on the toilet with his laptop
was going to kill the KID

you can always play world of warcraft on a free private server like I do. Free game play rocks.
Diablo II lords of destruction is also a good one.

I purchased oblivion and i'm hooked. How do I determine the best settings for graphics? ie screen resolution? The game won't auto detect

You start low then up it and see how your computer handles it. Once you reach your limit to where fps are low then you know and you can then tweak it from there. I usually turn off shadows and other unnecessary things even though my computer can handle them easily.

So far I have 5o hours logged on this game. Very addicting. What happens after you complete all the quests? Do you just run around and kill stuff?

Well after finishing all the quests(which there is a lot lol) you can go around killing stuff...I have never got that far as to completing all the quests but sometimes when I get bored I just go on a killing spree in towns :P

I had FFVII in perfect condition years ago. Then it got trashed when I moved. It's worth like $80+ on ebay for good condition. Anyway it was a great game, first of the 'normal style' characters. I was always partial to FFIV though.
